Thank you so much to the DSPCA who visited us virtually to tell us all about taking care of pets. Our favourite pet was the cheeky escape artist hamster!
We have been making the most of Harold’s Cross Park and its lovely playground. We can’t wait to see what Rathmines has to offer and are already dreaming of swimming in Swan Leisure, going to the cinema and making connections with the many, many sports clubs in the area #wellbeing #outdoor learning

We have been learning all about Ramadan in Junior Infants. We talked about special meals (we learned how to cook homemade spicy burgers – yum!) and we saw the delicious treats some of our families have when the sun goes down. The Senior Infants and First Class taught us the meaning behind fasting and all about ‘good deeds’ at a wonderful assembly outside in the yard.
Here are some beautiful Islamic shaped sun catchers we made.

We wrapped up this incredible school year with a Virtual School Tour to Edinburgh Zoo. After a quick ‘sing song on the bus’, the children took over as the Zookeepers while we looked at the animals on their webcams. They had all researched a fact or two about the animals of Edinburgh Zoo and amazed us all with their knowledge – one stand out fact being that tiger’s pee smells like buttered popcorn!!!
Well done girls and boys, as always you blew us away with your creativity and enthusiasm!

We couldn’t be together in person, but in Spring 2020 we came together for a very special project. Maeve got us all a caterpillar each to raise in our own homes. Over the next few weeks we watched them transform into beautiful butterflies and then released them from our gardens and balconies. Goodbye butterflies, we will always remember how incredible you were!

Bhí Seachtain na Gaeilge iontach againn. Bhaineamar an-taitneamh as an cuairt a thug Sandymount Park Educate Together Secondary School orainn. Bhíomar ag cáint, ag dathaigh agus ag sugradh le chéile! Bhaineamar an-taitneamh as an cuairt. Go raibh mile maith agaibh Sandymount Park Educate Together Secondary School.

It’s International Women’s Day! Today (and every Friday) in Junior Infants, Killian our GAA Coach (Templeogue Synge Street GAA Club) came to work on some ball-handling skills with us. Take a look at how much fun we had!
Killian’s Gaelic Football Academy runs on Saturdays @ 11.30am in Dolphin Park, Crumlin Road. It’s suitable for boys and girls aged 4-7.
