Trip to Iveagh Gardens

By 14th March 2025Fifth Class, News

Lunch at Rose Garden

When we arrived, we went straight to the Rose Gardens to have lunch. There we chatted with friends while eating. The Rose Garden was beautiful, there was a huge metal structure around the garden. Inside of the structure there were patches of soil where there were roses being grown. We had wonderful lunch as the smell of roses wafted around us.

The Maze

After lunch we went to explore the park, there we found a maze, the maze was a giant circle made with hedges, in the middle there was a sun clock. From above it probably looked like a massive celt sign. Soon our friends found us, and we started playing ball tag. The aim of the game was not to get caught though we were running in a maze, the tagger had a ball to make it easier for them, you could either get caught by the ball or the person. The game was so fun that we probably spent an half an hour playing the game.

The Walk

Finally, the teachers told us that it was time to take a nice walk around the park. We took our belongings and started to head on the walk. In the meantime, we passed a huge waterfall, but it didn’t have any water falling at the moment, does it still count as a waterfall? Then we walked past two headless statues, kind of creepy. After that we walked some more and saw a woman having a photo shoot, I hope we didn’t interfere. And finally, we came to a log garden and took some photos.

After a lovely day we came back to school and chilled.
