What a busy and exciting first term it’s been for 6th Class, the very first 6th Class at Harcourt Terrace ETNS! It’s a really special year for us as we settle into life as the oldest class in the school and take on new responsibilities and challenges.
We started the year by proudly hosting the first assembly of the year, setting the tone for what’s sure to be a memorable and exciting year ahead. Later in the term, we enjoyed a lively drumming workshop, where we got to show off our rhythm and teamwork skills. We also took a trip to the National Concert Hall to see a Mathemagician wow us with his amazing Rubik’s Cube tricks – the perfect lead-up to Maths Week, where we explored creative maths challenges back in school.
Soon after, we headed out into the community for a Canal Clean-Up, helping to care for our local environment and make a difference close to home. To finish off the term, we had a visit from the Community Gardaí, who spoke to us about Halloween safety and how to keep ourselves and others safe during the celebrations.
It’s been a fantastic first term, full of learning, laughter, and new experiences. We can’t wait to see what next term brings for Class 6B!
